With the holiday and winter season quickly approaching, it’s best to immerse yourself in the arts! HSE’s Performing Arts departments put an endless amount of time and work into their skill every year, and many in these departments view winter/holiday shows as their favorite every year. Fall Play, Still Life With Iris: Nov. 20, 21, 22
The annual fall play showcases an emotional and playful performance this year. With a cast of around 20 people and a collection of crew members, the show will be brought to audiences on November 20th, 21st, and 22nd, all at 7 pm.
“Playing Iris is something I have enjoyed because I get to interact with many people and she’s a very fun character,” Maddie Sappenfield said. “I’m so excited for this play because I’ve been looking forward to it for many years!”

Choir Holiday Show: Dec. 4, 5
Get in the festive mood for the first performing arts holiday concert of the season, the choir holiday show! This concert will take place in the Leonard auditorium at 7 pm, with all tickets available for purchase on PurplePass.
Orchestra Winter Concert: Dec. 9
Carrying on with the winter season, HSE Orchestras will display their end-of-semester progress with winter and holiday-themed songs. Support the school’s Orchestra program and students by attending the concert on Tuesday, December 9th at 7 pm.
“I’m most looking forward to the holiday spirit that comes with playing winter repertoire.” Shravanthi Saravanan said. “Everyone’s excited because it’s close to winter break, and the audience loves the songs.”

Band Winter Concert: Dec. 10
Band will be hosting their own concert as well on Wednesday, December 10th at 7 pm. They will also be presenting a collection of winter and holiday-themed songs! Find tickets on PurplePass.
Sounds of the Season Concert: Dec. 11
Finally, to wrap up the winter concerts, HSE’s top band and orchestra will come together for a final winter concert. This last concert of the semester will be on Thursday, December 11th, at 7pm in the Leonard Auditorium. Make sure not to miss out by getting tickets on PurplePass when available!
“I’m really looking forward to playing with the band and specifically playing Sleigh Ride and Taifu,” Vani Kumar said. “I really enjoy the winter concerts because it really puts me in the Christmas mood!”
