About two years ago, girls started walking around school with Stanleys and Owalas while wearing their favorite White Fox or Pink Palm Puff hoodies. Now, it’s reasonable to wonder what other product will become popular soon.

Cami Catlin shared a few brands that she likes, which she said are “Nike, Lululemon, Altered State, PacSun, and Edikted.” She also included influencers Demetra Dias and The Kalogeras Sisters.

Demetra Dias wears brands that are currently popular like Motel Rocks, Abercrombie & Fitch, Brandy Melville, White Fox, Hollister, and Aeropostale. The Kalogeras Sisters prefer mini-skirts, tank tops, denim, and many form-fitting outfits while using the brand ‘I AM DELILAH’ often. These influencers share many style preferences with what is trending in not just school, but everywhere on social media.

Cami also said, “I like Kendra Scott’s necklaces, and I like Owalas. I think they’re really convenient.”

Celebrities and influencers have been seen wearing Kendra Scott necklaces. Plus, Owalas have been seen online in “get ready with me” videos and posts of people unboxing decorated bottles.

While a majority of girls in school are influenced by trends, some choose not to keep up with popular products and styles.

Lucyana Whitesel said, “I tend to actually get most of my clothing just passed down to me from my own [family] stuff, but they usually tend to get it from American Eagle and Target.” She even mentioned that she doesn’t “specifically follow any influencers.”

She also added, “I like on Pinterest how they have ways to DIY clothes.”

Cami and Lucyana each have their own styles and don’t feel pressured to stick to every trend like other girls online. However, many of these trending items and outfits from social media are seen all the time at HSE and will continue to change as long as trends keep appearing on TikTok.
