For the concertgoers of Fishers, attending any events at Ruoff Music Center this upcoming summer just got pricier. The venue is rolling out some major changes that fans will definitely want to know about, especially since they hit fans right in the wallet.
Pay Up for Parking: Say Goodbye to Free Parking
Anyone who’s attended an event at Ruoff knows that general parking is typically free. That’s changing. Fans planning to park at the venue will now need to purchase a parking pass for each show.
A general parking pass bought prior to the show is $20. If you choose to pay for parking on the day of the show, the price goes up to $25.
Fans can still choose to purchase upgraded parking instead of general admission parking. While Premier parking is usually $65, VIP is $99, and limousine or oversized is $200, please note that these upgraded parking prices vary by show and must be purchased in advance.
Skip the parking pass altogether by getting dropped off via rideshare, taxi, or a friend. For smoother drop-off and pick-up, use Rideshare Gate 2A, just north of the Boden and 146th Street intersection. Let the police or parking staff know you’re there to be dropped off, and they’ll direct you. When getting picked up, Ruoff, via their website, recommends that your ride arrives at Rideshare Gate 2A approximately 45 minutes before the concert is scheduled to end to avoid post-concert chaos.

Lawn Chair Lockdown: New Seating Rules
For fans planning to enjoy lawn seating this year, the policy regarding personal chairs has undergone a significant change. Ruoff will no longer allow personal chairs of any kind in the venue.
While this may be a change for some, blankets and tarps will still be permitted on the lawn for select shows. If you prefer a chair for the lawn, rentals are available. You can rent a chair for $8 if you purchase it in advance online. The price may be higher if you rent on the day of the show at a stand. Also, availability on the day of the show cannot be guaranteed.
Alternatively, if you don’t want to bring your own blanket, you can rent one at the venue for $25. According to Ruoff’s website, they are yours to keep and can comfortably seat two to three people.

Pass to Past: No More Lawnie Pass
Longtime fans of Ruoff’s lawn seating will notice a significant change this upcoming concert season: the absence of the beloved Lawnie Pass. Live Nation announced the decision via Facebook, stating they will be introducing “new and exciting programs,” with details being shared first with “previous Lawnies.”
Fans who previously enjoyed the perks of the $239 lawn pass will now need to purchase individual lawn tickets for each show. The specifics of the upcoming programs have not yet been announced, leaving some to speculate on what these new offerings might entail for frequent lawn attendees.
For the concert enthusiasts in Fishers and beyond, a trip to Ruoff Music Center will undoubtedly look different. Online discussions and social media reactions suggest that many fans are unhappy with these changes, citing concerns from affordability to the perceived erosion of the concert-going experience. Only time will tell if this marks a turning point in the concert experience in Fishers, and whether fans will adapt or seek their live music elsewhere.
